For the third year in a row, St. John LaLande parishioners, community volunteers, school families, and others worked side by side to fight food insecurity. Living out the call to be HIS Hands & Feet, we packed 28,000 meals.
We give a huge thanks to all our volunteers including our Knights of Columbus and others who helped distribute meals to:
- Local pantries including: St. Vincent DePaul, Catholic Charities, Redemptorist, St. Francis Xavier, and Community Services League.
- Three military base pantries including Fort Riley, Fort Leonard Wood, and Fort Leavenworth).
- The most food insecure rural pantries across Missouri.
- Mother's Refuge, a maternity home for young mothers.
- Schools in Blue Springs and Independence.
